The Brooklynati Community College Dance Troupe had their Winter performance at Grand Finale Theatre again this year and really rocked the house for all who were in attendance. The student-run and student-choreographed team performed six shows over the course of three days and displayed their talents across dance genres from hip hop to jazz to modern to ballet.

K’naan, The Dusty Foot Philosopher, was kind enough to come through and give a legendary performance to the people of Brooklynati while he was out on the road. Its already known that K’naan is a phenomenal live performer, but during his innagural performance in Brooklynati, our cities biggest music fans got to find out first hand. You typed and we listened.  While we may not fully understand the ins and outs of it all, Grand Finale Theatre has relaunched its site in BLOG format! This should enable us to update frequently, letting you know what’s come and what’s to come at Brooklynati’s home for performing arts.  Speaking of what’s come through already, Portland, OR’s own Ragen Fykes came through Grand Finale Theatre and ripped it for a packed house on December 2nd.  After a mesmerizing performance, ms. Fykes treated her fans to a rousing cover of the late Big L’s “Ebonics”.  Enjoy for yourself:
